Blake Morar began his career in real estate as a green 23-year-old with just $1,500 in his pocket. Today, he co-owns Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty. With its 64 full-time sales associates and 2018 sales volume of more than $776 million, it is the No. 1 real estate brokerage along Florida’s Emerald Coast.
Blake grew up in Baton Rouge, La., and earned a degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University in 1996. He immediately relocated to Destin, Fla., and found his passion in real estate. In 2014, Destin Real Estate Company affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty, affording his clients both the local knowledge they’d come to expect and the global reach of a worldwide brand.
To date, Blake has completed more than $850 million in career sales. In 2018, he led a three-broker team that completed more than $99 million in sales volume with a 95.6% list price to sales price ratio. Blake believes in putting the client first and never compromising standards, a philosophy that has served him well over his 23-year career.
He particularly enjoys getting to know new clients and making an authentic connection with them. That innate desire to understand where people are coming from and where they’re going, combined with the local connections, strategic insights and proven experience he provides, are what help him ensure his clients achieve their real estate goals.
In his free time, Blake enjoys paddle boarding, bike riding and exploring area beaches with his two sons, Hank and Gus. He is also an avid drone pilot, responsible for many of the aerial videos featured at morargroup.com.
