    Outpacing The Market Three-To-One at Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty

    Someone once said, “You don’t know whether you’re winning or losing unless you’re keeping score.” At Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, it’s halftime – and the mid-year “score” shows us outpacing the market by a three-to-one margin in sales volume.

    “Market-wide, year to date, Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty is leading the market with 7.8 percent market share, but at a sales price of $820,000 and over, [we] have a 16 percent market share … almost three times the market share of our nearest competitor,” said Wes Madden, chief operating officer and sales director.

    And, that’s not all.

    In looking at units sold versus the previous year, Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty is outpacing the market almost four-to-one (7 percent versus 27.8 percent increase).

    The success of our Coming Soon Listing Program, which gives email subscribers to our website exclusive access to homes before they hit the market, and the culture of collaboration among our agents are partly to thank for these growing numbers.

    In the past year, these tools and our unique approach have also helped to foster an 83.33 percent increase in in-house transactions. Year to date, more than 30 percent of our listings have been sold by a Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty agent.

    “This is the fundamental difference between our active marketing strategy in matching buyers to our listings versus a passive strategy normally employed by agents,” Madden said.
