2020 In Review: Our Top 15 Sales of the Year

2020 will likely be remembered for everything that went wrong instead of the things that went right. What we could not have anticipated 12 months ago was the surge in buying and selling along the Emerald Coast as more people discovered they could live, work and play in the place they love.

These are our “Top 15” sales from 2020, a year that netted more than $1.6 billion in total volume for our brokerage. We cannot thank you enough for entrusting us with your real estate journey during one of the most difficult years on record, and we’d be honored to assist you in 2021 and beyond.

146 Montgomery Street | $14M

Without a doubt, “Mont Blanc” will be one of the most memorable sales for our brokerage — and the area — for years to come. This 9,000-square-foot retreat in Seagrove Beach earned its share of national media coverage with articles in Forbes, Mansion Global, James Edition and Fox News, among others. It was the Florida Panhandle’s most expensive new-construction home and graced the cover of our Fall/Winter edition of Niche.

110 East Saint Lucia Lane | $8.9M

Thanks to the proprietary systems and technology we employ at Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, we were able to match this home with a buyer before the listing ever hit the market. This five-bed, four-bath home on the Gulf of Mexico is located in the enchanting community of The Retreat. Designed by Domin Bock Architects, it features smooth Venetian plaster walls, reclaimed hand-hewn beams and a scullery kitchen.

1201 Baycrest Cove | $8.8M

If bayfront is more your style, you’ll love this 7,269-square-foot George Small-designed oasis on the Choctawhatchee Bay. Every detail of this home was meticulously-crafted, from the 88-foot perimeter overflow pool to the custom entrance that includes a concrete paver drive and pivot-hinged steel French doors.

442 Nicole Forest Drive | $8.75M

There was nothing quite like this home in The Estuary when it came on the market. Perfectly situated between 1,082 feet of Choctawhatchee Bay shoreline and the 15,000-acre Point Washington State Forest, this waterfront property offers multiple recreation opportunities for a life without compromise.

60 Mako Drive | $7.85M

This was one of those “blink-and-you-missed-it” homes that, once completed, sold quickly. Newly constructed in Seagrove Beach, it is characterized by panoramic beach views from each of its impressive three levels as well as the covered fourth-story rooftop deck.

125 San Roy Road | $6.2M

With 61 feet of coveted beach frontage and a depth of 467 feet, this one-of-a-kind property extends to the high-water mark with a private gated walkway providing easy access to the white sandy beach.

35 Hinton Drive | $5.8M

Dubbed “La Piscina,” which translates to “the pool” in Spanish, this contemporary Seagrove retreat’s outdoor oasis boasts the largest private pool on Scenic Highway 30A and more than 2,600 feet of covered balconies and outdoor living space.

205 West Village Beach Road | $5.75M

One of Walton County’s largest privately-owned gulf-front parcels was taken off the market in 2020. It features panoramic views of the Emerald Coast from almost every room, but the photo below speaks for itself.

8016 East County Highway 30A | $5.3M

Loved by countless vacationers on the beautiful Emerald Coast, and known simply as “The Beach House,” this gulf-front Seacrest Beach bungalow features 90 feet of waterfront, private beach access and forever panoramic gulf views.

69 Little Redfish Lane | $4.85M

The phrase ”over the top” is only the beginning describing the architecture, construction, finishes and the view this incredible residence has to offer. This luxury home in the exclusive gated community of Redfish Lane has an abundance of high-end finishes that include one-of-a-kind reclaimed wood beams from century-old barns and a kitchen that would make Emeril Lagasse jealous.

4720 Ocean Boulevard | $4.54M

This expansive Mediterranean home in Destiny By The Sea boasts luxurious features including an extraordinary rooftop pool and private sun deck perfectly framed with contemporary glass railing offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay and Destin cityscape.

2657 East County Highway 30A | $4.275M

Located just east of Seaside, Florida, this professionally-decorated and fully-furnished beach home features 4,391 square feet of living space, a private heated pool, an attached garage, a private elevator and inspiring views of the Gulf of Mexico.

417 Coopersmith Lane | $4.05M

Casual elegance describes this thoughtfully-designed four-story beach home, a masterpiece of indoor and outdoor living. The premium lot located within the exclusive gated community of WaterSound Beach allows for spectacular views of the dunes and Gulf of Mexico.

346 West Water Street | $4M

Forwardly designed and masterfully constructed, this quintessential home is nestled within one of the most iconic corners of Rosemary Beach. An elegant architectural wonder, it is positioned steps away from the sugar-white sands of the coast and the sea blue-green of the Gulf of Mexico.

111 Little Redfish Lane | $3.9M

A foundational home for the neighborhood of Redfish Lane, this listing offers some of the most majestic sunsets along the Emerald Coast. Views of the gulf and views of Little Redfish Lake are the pièce de résistance, but extensive renovations make the interiors shine.
