New Bridge Construction at Draper Lake
Walton County Public Works is scheduled to facilitate the closure of Scenic Highway 30A beginning September 14, 2015 to begin construction of a new bridge at Draper Lake. A temporary Bailey Bridge has been in place since May 2014 after heavy rainfall damaged the roadway.
The bridge construction project and the associated road closure will restrict thru traffic for the duration of the project. The bridge construction is scheduled to be complete by March 1, 2016. Detour routes will be implemented via County Highway 393 to County Highway 83.
