Gulf-front Home in The Retreat Sold In-house Pre-market

    Often, our significant sale highlights an extraordinary property, record sale or swift closing for our buyers or sellers. This month’s significant sale does indeed involve a remarkable gulf-front property, 61 West Saint Lucia Lane in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, but what’s momentous about this transaction is what happened behind the scenes.

    Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty prepared to list this 4,665 square foot home in early July 2018. Through our exclusive Coming Soon Listing Program, 70,000-plus of our email subscribers were the first to catch a glimpse of the five-bedroom masterpiece in The Retreat. Before the listing ever became publicly available, the home received multiple offers and went under contract.

    Perhaps even more significant was the fact that this home marked a pre-market, in-house sale for two of Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty’s agents. The sellers connected with us in 2002 to purchase the site to build the home and, after a three-year build that concluded in 2007, enjoyed the property for 11 years.

    The buyers, repeat customers of a second Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty agent, were looking for a larger home and something closer to the gulf. After the disappointment of missing out on another property, they settled on The Retreat and waited for their dream home to come on the market.

Following a second offer from another interested party, the buyers moved forward with the counteroffer of full price and closed quickly on their dream home.
