The Emerald Coast is home to an array of tasty events showcasing world-class cuisine, tantalizing vino and breathtaking atmospheres. Few, however, can lay claim to being the largest “EggFest” along the crystalline waters of northwest Florida. Whether you are a grill master well-skilled in the art of Big Green Egg cooking or just a foodie who loves enjoying creative concoctions, Eggs on The Beach is an event you will not want to miss.
Held annually at the end of September at the picturesque Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach, this delicious event will showcase cuisine from the most “eggs-travagant” chefs in Destin, 30A and Panama City Beach, all vying for the crown while fighting for some great causes.
The sixth annual event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sat., Sept. 28, with proceeds from ticket sales benefitting both Fisher House and Food For Thought.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring our support for these amazing charities to the grill-station this year,” said Wes Madden, COO of Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty. “This may be the inaugural year for a company cooking team, but we’ve been honored to back these amazing organizations in other ways for a few years now. This year, we can also do it in a fun and beautiful setting.”
Eggs on the Beach hits the calendar just one month after Food For Thought’s annual “Stock the Pantry” event. Last year, we collected 76,000 food items for the Food For Thought event. In total, the items they collected at that event helped further their mission for an additional six months, saving them $100,000 in the process. This year, we have set a goal to match – or exceed – last year’s efforts.
