The seventh annual Harvest Moon Festival is right around the corner on September 30 and is set to take place at Bud and Alley’s with additional events all day long. Traditionally, the festival aligns with the Harvest Moon, which historically has been regarded as the full moon that marks the beginning of autumn. During this time, farmers would take advantage of the extra light to gather their harvests. Much like the farmers of yore, the Harvest Festival serves as a moment to honor the hard-earned fruits of labor after the busy spring and summer seasons.
Festivities begin as early as 9 a.m. on the day with a morning meditative yoga class held by the talented Shannon Kramolis from Studio Thirty-A and live music courtesy of Justin Moore. Along with this, fresh juice generously donated by Raw & Juicy will be provided as well as coffee from Amavida.
Later in the evening, there will be a “Dinner Under the Stars” presented by Merrill Lynch Wealth Management – Brown, Burns & Associates. This event starts with a cocktail hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will have live music played by Bill Garrett accompanying a meal curated by Bud & Alley’s Executive Chef. After dinner, there will be more live music from the talented Will Thompson Band and an open bar. Seats are limited so be sure to make your reservations ahead of time!
Furthermore, guests will be invited to take part in a paddle raise to secure funds for a matching donation opportunity as well as a silent auction. Tickets are available at HM2023.givesmart.com. It is noted that the attire for this event is “coastal chic.”
