We know — you procrastinated and now Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Never fear, the answer to your V-day celebration on the Emerald Coast is here. We’ve compiled a short list of traditional — and unique — ideas, whether you’re celebrating as a couple or going it solo.

Sing Them a Song

What: The Emerald Coast Barbershop Chorus will present singing Valentines for $50, which includes two to three songs, a fresh rose and bag of chocolates.

Celebrate With Man’s (or Woman’s) Best Friend

What: My Furry Valentine Doggie Social, hosted by Dog Harmony. Dress in Valentine-themed matching attire at this dog social featuring live music, light bites and drinks. Prizes will be awarded.

What: Valentine’s Sweetheart Ball, a night of dinner, champagne and dancing. Open to the public, with advance tickets ($40/couple) available or seating availability at the door ($45/couple).

Galentine’s Day Party

What: A redefining of “this Hallmark nightmare for all of our ladies (and fellas) who dread this day year after year,” according to their Facebook event page. Drink specials and live music.

Concert at Harry T’s Lighthouse

What: A Valentine’s Day concert featuring Frank, Marilyn and Ric Adkins of Moonlight Music Co. Seat is limited so reservations are recommended. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

A Killer Good Time
What: Enjoy one of two interactive murder mystery dinners, hosted by Improbable Cause Mystery Theatre. Cost is $45 per seat or $85 per seat for both events.

Cruise through Valentine’s Day

What: Three-hour dinner cruise on the Solaris, located in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort marina. Cost is $165 per couple and includes a three-house cruise, three-course meal and live entertainment. Window tables cost a bit more and a full bar is available for purchasing adult beverages.

Dinner For Two

There’s no shortage of options for dining out when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Here are a few:

  • Sharing & Caring Valentine’s Day Fundraiser at AJ’s On The Bayou, Fort Walton Beach. A portion of dinner service will be donated to Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County.
  • An unforgettable Valentine’s dinner experience with a four-course chef’s creation at The Henderson. Cost is $75 per guest. Reservations only, call 850.424.4453.
  • Valentine’s Day Bubbles & Chocolate Tasting at The Hub 30A from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14. Cost is $10 per person.
  • Be My Valentine Dinner at Wine Bar, Destin, Grand Boulevard or WaterColor locations, 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14. A special menu will be available.
