Majestically presiding over 70 feet of shoreline in Crystal Beach, Palazzo del Mar simultaneously set Destin’s new record high Real Estate sales price bench mark and broke our company’s own record high sale price in the Destin market.
Closing at $6.2 million on January 29, 2016, our gulf front listing located at 2990 Scenic Highway 98 became the first home in Destin to sell in the $6 million plus territory. Its listing agents, Kim and Keen Polakoff, also represented the new owner in the purchase.
The previous high sale price was held by a gulf front home located within the gated confines of Destiny by the Sea, also represented by Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty. Closing at $5.55 million in 2012, its sale eclipsed the previous record 2005 holder and first home sale in Destin to breach the $5 million mark, located in the same neighborhood. In fact, up until Palazzo del Mar’s $6.2 million closing, no home outside of Destiny by the Sea had sold in excess of $5 million.
