Whether you’re just stopping by or you call the Gulf Coast your home, we know how important it is to be able to bring man’s best friend along for the ride. Fortunately, there are ample opportunities for dogs of all shapes and sizes to relax and have their own fun. As they say in good ol’ Grayton Beach, we love “nice dogs and strange people.”
This curated list of places and things your furry children can enjoy will take you from state parks to dining and beyond. Keep in mind, dogs are not permitted on any gulf beaches in Okaloosa County and only by permit for homeowners in Walton County. Stiff fines can be levied for breaching those rules.
Pop By A Park
If you’re looking for a way to both enjoy the beautiful scenery of our area and also work off some of your pup’s energy, we highly recommend checking out one of the many state parks in the area. Not only will your dog get lots of sniffs in, but it’s also a great excuse to get out and explore the many paths that weave their way through our communities. You can learn more about any of these locations by visiting floridastateparks.org.
