But recently, Google announced that Santa Rosa Beach has the strongest online business community in Florida. No longer is the beach town just a place for fun in the sun.     The Method Behind the Score

    Google and independent research firm Ipsos MORI analyzed data from all 50 states and broke down the economic impact of each city from Google AdWords, AdSense, and Grants in 2012. Google calculated that for every $1 spent in AdWords, $2 in revenue was made. Their Chief Economist, Hal Varian, created this estimate based on observed cost-per-click activity across a sample of advertisers. A second estimate was formulated, assuming that businesses receive an average of 5 clicks on their search results for every 1 click on their ads.
