Short-Term Rental Ban Lifted in Florida Panhandle

After weeks of anticipation about how and when the short-term vacation rental ban would be lifted, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis gave counties along the Emerald Coast the go-ahead Tuesday, May 19, to begin allowing tourists to return to the area. The decision to reinstate short-term vacation rentals is effective immediately.

DeSantis made his determination in response to safety plans submitted by counties in the Florida Panhandle over the past few days.
