Sinfonia’s 2017 Season Kicks Off with Chris Mann

Sinfonia Gulf Coast is the only fully professional symphony orchestra based in Destin, Florida and the beach communities of South Walton along Scenic Highway 30A. Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty proudly supports Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s commitment to presenting high-caliber events while maintaining the tradition of a “symphony redefined.”

In its 12th season of innovative musical programming, Sinfonia continues to entertain, educate, and inspire the community. Sinfonia Gulf Coast was founded in 2005 on Florida’s Northwest Gulf Coast under the guidance of founder and Music Director Demetrius Fuller. As a non-profit, Sinfonia Gulf Coast has presented more than 475 concerts and events, has collaborated with numerous non-profits and businesses along the Emerald Coast and has reached more than 100,000 children through its Sinfonia Guest Artists in the Schools program and music education outreach initiatives.

This season, Sinfonia Gulf Coast offers six concerts beginning on October 24th, 2017.

“An Evening with Chris Mann”

You may know Chris as a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice,” or perhaps have read rave reviews of his performance in “Phantom of the Opera.” At Sinfonia’s first performance of the season, he will take you on a musical journey from Broadway to contemporary standards, to the Great American Songbook. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a four-course wine dinner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, followed by an intimate cabaret-style performance at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin, Florida.

Admission: $195 per person (includes dinner, wine, valet, gratuity, and performance)


Sinfonia’s Classical Connections Series

Classical Connections 1: Sang-Eun Lee

Thursday, November 9th, 2017

Admission: $29.50 to $45 per person

The first concert in the Classical Connections series features cellist Sang-Eun Lee. Ms. Lee has been praised as a prodigiously talented young artist with powerful technique and musical poise by the Washington Post. She will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Variations on a Rococo Theme.” Also on the program are Mozart’s “Wind Serenade in E-flat” and Antonin Dvorak’s “Serenade for Strings.”

Classical Connections 2: SYBARITE5

Friday, January 26th, 2018 at 7:30pm
Grace Lutheran Church in Destin
Admission: $29.50 to $45 per person

The second installment of the Classical Connections series features the string group SYBARITE5. Performing their compilation “Everything In Its Right Place,” a mélange of Mozart to Piazzolla to Radiohead, the quintet joins Sinfonia’s full orchestra.

Classical Connections 3: Alys Beach Pops

Admission: FREE

The final installment of the Classical Connections series features the Alys Beach Pops concert presented al fresco in the amphitheater lawn in Alys Beach. This patriotic, family-friendly concert is free and open to the public and concludes with a festive firework display.


“A Rockin’ Holiday”

Mary Wilson of The Supremes is bringing her amazing energy to the Sinfonia stage for “A Rockin’ Holiday” concert. This Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and multiple award-winning artist will share the stage with Sinfonia’s full orchestra for a magical holiday concert.


Sinfonia’s concert season culminates with its annual Gala Event on Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at 7:30pm.

Taking place at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s Gala Event brings the world premiere of America’s most beloved movie musical to the Emerald Coast. Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man in Concert” features Wilson’s brilliant songs and score performed live by Sinfonia Gulf Coast in the original orchestrations by the legendary Ray Heindorf. The performance will be conducted by Emmy winner, and five-time Emmy nominee George Daugherty.

Admission: $45 to $250 per person

Platinum and Gold table seating includes a special VIP pre-concert reception and preferred seating during the performance.


Tickets for all performances are on sale now. Season subscriptions offer a discounted price per ticket and feature preferred seating to all three Classical Connections concerts and the annual holiday concert in December.

Proceeds from all events benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast and its music education programs, which include musicians and guest artists in schools, free orchestra concerts, bus transportation for students, Sinfonia Youth Orchestra program, Arts in Medicine with Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, LINK UP concerts with third through fifth grades in participation with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Institute of Music, the annual Paint the Music Project and more.
