Few places do the Fourth of July quite like Walton County. From hometown parades and lakeside fireworks to rooftop celebrations and Gulf-front concerts, communities across the Emerald Coast are planning a full slate of festivities to commemorate Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary.

Whether you’re looking for family-friendly traditions, live entertainment or a memorable fireworks display, here’s a look at what’s happening across Walton County.

July 2: A Patriotic Performance at Grand Boulevard

The holiday festivities begin early with a special patriotic revue presented by Emerald Coast Theatre Company in Grand Park at Grand Boulevard. Scheduled for July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m., the outdoor performance will feature music, dance and tributes celebrating 250 years of American history. Visitors can enjoy the show while exploring the shops, restaurants and green spaces throughout Grand Boulevard.

July 3–4: Rooftop Celebrations at Hotel Effie

Hotel Effie Sandestin is taking the Independence Day celebration skyward with its “America 250 Above It All” rooftop event at Ara Rooftop Pool & Lounge. The two-day celebration kicks off July 3 with live DJs, specialty cocktails and panoramic views of the Emerald Coast. Additional entertainment continues throughout July 4, culminating with a rooftop vantage point for Baytowne Wharf’s evening fireworks display.

July 4: Start the Day in Grayton Beach

One of 30A’s most beloved traditions returns to Grayton Beach on the morning of July 4. The annual community parade begins at 8:30 a.m. near The Red Bar, bringing together decorated bicycles, golf carts and plenty of patriotic spirit.

The celebration continues throughout the day with brunch, live music and community activities, making Grayton Beach a lively destination from sunrise through late evening.

July 4: Rosemary Beach’s Classic Fourth of July Celebration

Just east along 30A, Rosemary Beach will host a full day of Independence Day festivities. The morning begins with a bike decorating contest and community parade through town, followed by family activities throughout the afternoon.

As evening arrives, guests can enjoy live music before gathering along the beach to watch fireworks illuminate the Gulf at 9 p.m.

July 4: Seaside Marks America’s 250th Birthday

Seaside’s annual Fourth of July celebration remains one of the most anticipated events on the Emerald Coast. Beginning at 9 a.m., the town will host a full day of patriotic programming, including live music, family activities, a children’s bike parade, a hot dog eating contest and performances throughout the afternoon.

The celebration concludes with a Patriotic Pops Concert by Sinfonia Gulf Coast followed by fireworks over Seaside at 8:30 p.m.

July 4: Freeport’s Parade and Fireworks

Residents and visitors looking for a traditional community celebration can head to Freeport, where the city’s annual Fourth of July parade begins at 6 p.m.

The route travels from the Freeport Learning Center to the Freeport Regional Sports Complex, where food vendors, family activities and community gatherings continue throughout the evening. Fireworks are expected to begin around 8:45 p.m.

July 4: Dinner and Fireworks Aboard the Solaris

For a unique perspective on the holiday, SunQuest Cruises will offer a special Independence Day dinner cruise aboard the Solaris yacht. Departing from Baytowne Marina, the evening includes a chef-prepared meal, live entertainment and views of fireworks from the water.

Advance reservations are recommended for this popular annual event.

July 4: Live Music and Fireworks in Alys Beach

Alys Beach will celebrate Independence Day with a free concert at the Amphitheatre beginning at 7 p.m. Five Star Funk Lounge will provide the soundtrack for the evening as guests gather with blankets and chairs on the lawn.

The celebration concludes with a fireworks display launched from a Gulf barge at approximately 9 p.m., creating a dramatic finale along the coast.

July 4: Red, White & Baytowne

The Village of Baytowne Wharf will once again host its annual Red, White & Baytowne celebration. Visitors can enjoy family activities, live entertainment and festive programming throughout the evening before fireworks light up the lagoon after dark.

The event remains one of the largest Independence Day gatherings in the Miramar Beach area.

July 4: A Small-Town Celebration in DeFuniak Springs

For those seeking a more traditional Fourth of July experience, DeFuniak Springs offers a charming celebration around historic Lake DeFuniak.

The annual event features local vendors, family activities and a welcoming community atmosphere before the evening concludes with fireworks reflected across one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks.
