All homes have stories to tell; that is, if you’re very good at listening or particularly fortunate enough to acquire the right details. Such is the case with 3277 Burnt Pine, a sweeping Mediterranean-influenced enclave in gated Burnt Pine. As we often do, we offered its sellers the opportunity to tell their home’s story. This situation was somewhat unique along the Panhandle. In a market where vacation properties trade often, the home at 3277 Burnt Pine is still owned by family members of those who so lovingly built it in 2003.
Designed by Maurice Sweet of Sweet Builders, with input from the original owners, the home was the culmination of a life goal as their “dream house.” The privacy of the lot in Burnt Pine was a key factor in choosing the location to build, and the size and features of the home were selected to allow a comfortable amount of space for an entire family to gather.
The current owners speak fondly of their favorite aspects of the home, including walking through the front door and being able to see all the way through the backyard to the golf course and the long pine tree-lined driveway at night.
3277 Burnt Pine Circle’s architecture is unique with its colored stucco and clay tiles and a paver drive that circles around a separate golf cart garage. From the “best window” in the living room, you can view the family room, den, pool and summer kitchen. The outdoor space has been a favorite in which to sit and read by the fireplace. The way in which the kitchen opens to the family room, according to the owners, has been great for sharing fun times with family and friends. Two whole-home dehumidifiers help to keep the house comfortable during even the warmest days of a Florida summer.
Burnt Pine is situated inside the Sandestin® Golf & Beach Resort, making the marina, Village of Baytowne Wharf, Grand Boulevard, Shops at Sandestin and the beach quickly and easily accessible just a golf cart ride away. As a neighborhood, Burnt Pine is unparalleled for its quiet streets and well-maintained landscaping that makes resort-style living feel like home.
One added bonus at this home is the presence of “Luigi,” who greets first-time visitors from the second-floor balcony. Can you spot him in the first photo above?
