As the WaterColor community enters its 15th year, the dreams of expanding the Beach Club and Camp WaterColor are finally in the works. The goal of this expansion is to improve the overall WaterColor experience and alleviate the issues of overcrowding that both the Beach Club and Camp WaterColor are currently experiencing. As WaterColor has grown, so has the number of people using the amenities. In 2015, from March through September, the Beach Club welcomed nearly 1,000 people per day!
The Beach Club expansion will add two new resort-style pools, one with walk-in entry, thereby increasing the total pool capacity three times what is currently available. The new pools will triple deck space therefore better meeting the demand put on the Beach Club especially during peak times. The new pools will feature expanded seating and sunbathing areas, as well as two new pool deck cabanas for added convenience. The pool decks will be terraced to provide unobstructed views of the Gulf from all levels.
The current proposed design will build a new, larger main dining room, additional pool deck food service, and a top level shaded pizza kitchen bar. The mid-level deck with new indoor and outdoor dining area will have seating for 150 people and offer longer dining hours during off-peak seasons. The upper bar area will now offer unbeatable sunset views from two outdoor areas. The plan is designed to improve service through expanded kitchen and menus, which could possibly include the addition of a dinner service.
The newly designed welcome area will feature a new reception area that will improve the overall arrival experience. The renovated and enlarged structure will have improved beach access and will offer a conveniently located towel service. The new improvements will also improve existing security measure, ensuring only those permitted can access the Beach Club.
A newly redesigned pool will triple the size of the existing pool as well as accommodate all ages and abilities of guests. The design features a zero-entry pool access, like the gentle slope of the beach, which will provide easy access to the water making the pool even more family friendly. Younger children can play on a large splash pad with interactive dancing jets of water, while older children enjoy the water slide. Designed with families in mind, Camp WaterColor will provide the convenience of food, beverage, and bar service to guests to offer a full day of fun without needing to leave.
This expansion is designed to improve the experience of both the homeowners and their guests. Many predict it will increase property values and rental income potential, protecting WaterColor’s position as a leading community along 30A.
